Yesterday at circa. 11:00 Zulu time I “manned” up and bought a year’s subscription to a web host and domain name. This means that Mr. Higgins is now the proud owner of a place to blog his heart out about the trivialities of his life and the world. Additionally to be included, hopefully, space permitting, will be a very bright and colorful photo blog! Specifically created for those who like to stare at colorful things on computer screens instead of reading.

The rhyme and reason behind me starting a blog corresponds with a pause in my academic career. It is my intention to dabble in this thing people call “blogging” and to participate in what one could potentially call the “civilian life of a writer” as apposed to all of the academic writing ive done for the past 6 years. For once I want to write for no other purpose than to point out, pick apart, and ruin various topics for those that happen to find their way here! Don’t fret – you know you are going to like it!
